FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know about the assessment, the science, and the team workshop.
About the assessment
How long does it take?
36 questions, about 10 minutes. Most people finish in under 12 minutes. There is no timer and no pressure to rush.
Is it really free?
Yes. The assessment and your type are completely free. No account required, no credit card. The paid offering is the team workshop and facilitation.
How accurate is it?
Each score is built from many questions, so no single answer flips your result. The multi-item approach is what keeps it stable across a retake. Trait-based measurement is the most reliable approach in personality science.
What do I get at the end?
Your primary type in full: the description, your three dimension scores, your strengths, what to be mindful of, and how your type shows up at work. You also get your secondary type as a pointer. Your result is shareable. A fuller profile is available by email.
Can my type change?
It is a starting point, not a ceiling. Most people carry more than one type depending on context, and your scores can shift gradually as you grow. What changes more slowly are the deep trait patterns the assessment measures, which is exactly why it stays stable on a retake.
Is this Myers Briggs?
No. We measure on a continuous scale rather than sorting you into a rigid box, which is why our result is more stable. Systems that sort people into fixed letter types can produce a different result on a retake depending on mood or context. A scale captures where you actually land.
About the science
What is this based on?
The Big Five, the most studied and replicated model in personality science, informed by frameworks like the Enneagram and DISC, plus the Law of Diffusion of Innovation, which describes how new technology moves through a population. We apply them specifically to how people adopt AI.
What are the three dimensions?
Three dimensions shape every type. First: how curious you are, meaning how open you are to the new versus how much proof you want before you adopt. Second: how much you rely on structure versus instinct. Third: whether you process change out loud with others, or work it through on your own first before bringing people in.
Why a score instead of a box?
Because personality varies by degree, not kind. A scale captures where you actually land on each dimension, keeps the nuance, and stays stable over time in a way that rigid type systems do not. Your position on each of the three spectra is what produces your type, and no single answer can move it significantly.
For teams and workshops
What is the AI Team Map?
One page showing how your whole team is wired, which types dominate, and which voice is missing. It lays your team across all eight types so the patterns that stay invisible day to day become obvious at a glance. It is the deliverable from the AI Team Workshop. Learn more about the workshop.
How does a workshop run, and how long?
Pre work is about 10 minutes per person. The workshop is a full 3 hours, 2 hours with the whole team and 1 hour with leaders. You leave with your AI Team Map, the gaps named, and a clear plan for the voices you need most. We can run it in person or remotely.
What team sizes does it work for?
From a solo founder to groups spanning several departments. We adapt the format to the size and structure of your team.
How do we book a workshop?
Fill out the form on the For Teams page and we will follow up with options and timing. Or email [email protected] directly.
Do you train facilitators?
A certification path for coaches and consultants who want to facilitate AI Team Workshops is in development. If you are interested, register your interest and we will let you know when it launches.
