Your AI Personality Type

The Analyst

Cautious. Structured. Works It Through First.

Adoption curve: Early Majority to Late Majority

"I check it. I verify it. I commit when it's real."

Core Identity

Analysts are the people who want to see the case study, the data, and the methodology before forming a view. You are not anti AI. You are anti hype. You believe most claims are exaggerated and most pilots are unreplicable, and history is mostly on your side. When you finally endorse something, your colleagues know it is earned.

Why This Matters for AI Adoption

Analysts are essential because they catch the bad bets before they harm anyone. AI is sold with extraordinary claims that rarely survive scrutiny. The gap between vendor pitch and real world performance is sometimes vast, and the organizations that invest based on the pitch lose money, time, and credibility, often at the expense of the employees who have to clean up the failed rollout. You are the immune system that protects your team from making confident, expensive mistakes.

A Strength

You ask for the source, read the source, and notice when the source does not actually support the claim. That intellectual honesty raises the standard of conversation for everyone in the room.

To Be Mindful Of

Your standard for adoption can become impossibly high. Some opportunities do not have peer reviewed studies behind them. They require informed bets, and the colleagues making those bets need your input early enough to shape them, not late enough to block them.
